Committee Member Application

Apply to work on our various committees, and the Vice Chair of the respective committees will contact you to set up an interview! You may apply to more than one committee. Committee member openings change on a regular basis, and this page will be updated as these changes occur.


Details about each committee:

  • Communications Committee - Responsibilities include, but not limited to: create advertising and marketing content, posting on and managing social media pages, working with the Development Committee for co-sponsorships, and other publicity opportunities
  • Development Committee - Responsibilities include, but not limited to: assisting with outreach to University news publications, assisting with outreach to non-University news publications, and assisting with grant writing, as necessary
  • Finance Committee - Responsibilities include, but not limited to: assisting with management of day-to-day expenses
  • Pantry Operations Committees - Responsibilities include, but not limited to: assisting in coordinating volunteers, inventory, and the day-to-day operations of The Food Pantry at Columbia
  • Events Coordination Committee - Responsibilities include, but not limited to: working on The Food Pantry at Columbia programming, coordinating efforts with other committees to advertise events, and coordinating efforts with vendors
  • Volunteer Management Committee - Responsibilities include, but not limited to: assisting with volunteer staffing for open hours, attending events - whether virtual or in-person - and helping with flyering as necessary
  • Technology Committee - Responsibilities include, but not limited to: assisting with managing website, work space platform, and eCommerce site
